Episode 10 – The Ice Crystal Palace
第十回-冰晶神宮
Doug slides down all the way. Finally, she falls from the roof of a big cave to the ground several tens feet under. She feels so hurt that she groans and tends to resent this. However, she hears someone, from somewhere, shouts “Who is it?”. Doug turns her head and sees a big and tall guy appears behind a pillar—it’s Po!
豆豆一路滑摔下去,最後從一個石窟頂上重重摔落數十尺下的地面,她痛的唉聲嘆氣,正想咒罵一番,卻聽得石窟一端,有人喝問了一聲:”誰?”豆豆轉過頭去,看到一根石柱後轉出一個高大的身影—是童博!!
Doug is surprised and almost calls him Po yet this call is forced back by the ice-cold eyes of Po.
豆豆又驚又喜,一聲”童大哥”正要脫口叫出,卻被童博冰冷的目光生生逼了回去
Doug: (thinks) Doug, he is not Po you know. He is a murderer doesn’t recognize you. You shouldn’t be killed by him here!
豆:(心想)豆豆,他不是童大哥,他是個不認識你的殺人兇手,你不能在這被他殺了!
Doug suppresses her excitement and stands up slowly. She keeps her head low and looks Po with the corner of her eyes. For the time being, she finds she can see things even though she lost her huo-zhe when she falls down. There are some things softly illuminates around her. Before she can recognize what the light things are, Po has been in front of her.
豆豆强抑住心中的激動,慢慢的站起身來,低著頭用眼角望著童博,此時她才發現,雖然她摔下時失落了火褶,周圍卻有一股微光,讓她能看見東西,她還沒辨清楚發光物是什麼,童博已來到她身前
Po: (deep voice) It’s you! What’s your intention to be here?
博:(沉聲)原來是你,你來幹什麼?
Doug: (squeezes out a smile) En...I...I am treasure hunting! I heard that there are extraordinary martial art book and valuables here so I expended all my energies to come here.
豆:(擠出一絲笑容)恩...我...我是來...來尋寶的!我聽說這裡有絕世武功密笈和金銀財寶,所以就費盡心思跑進來了
Po: (frowns) There is no such things here! Go!
博:(皺眉)這裡沒有你說的東西!快走!
Doug: (responses carefully) Here looks just an entrance. How could you know there is nothing I want here? Don’t worry! I know the rules. Everyone involved has his share. I only want half of the treasure and you can have the martial art book!
豆:(小心地說)這裡看來不過是個入口,你怎麼知道沒有?你放心,我知道規矩,見者有份,金銀我只要一半,武功密笈你拿去好了!
Po: (deep voice) I said there is no such things! You just leave now or I will...(steps forward)
博:(沉聲)我說了這裏沒有那些東西,你再不走的話我就...(走近一步)
Doug: (looks at him) You will what? Kill me? (Po stares her coldly while Doug takes a deep breath) I know. Your martial art is far better than mine. OK, I give up my share yet it is still difficult for me to get out. (Points roof) You take me out, that’s all!
豆:(直視著他)你就怎樣?殺了我麼?(童博冷冷瞪著她,豆豆吸了口氣)我知道,你比我武功高,好吧,我什麼都不要,但我現在也很難出去(指指穴頂)你帶我出去就好
Po: (utters a humph) I don’t have to help you. You go try to get out by yourself! (Turns back to the pillars)
博:(哼了一聲)我為什麼要管你,你自己想辦法出去吧!(轉身走入石柱之間)
As a matter of fact, although Po arrived here two hours earlier than Doug did, he cannot go through this group of pillars yet. These pillars are natural maze and have no regular pattern, which can be used to infer the exit. The only way out is trying every route and making marks. Doug walks into the pillars along the marks Po left and finds many dead snakes, lizards and bats all the way. It seems that Po was fighting ahead. Therefore, Doug stops at a fork in the road without marks and doesn’t try a rash advance.
原來童博雖然比她早來到這一個時辰,卻還走不出這石柱群,這群石柱是天然的迷宮,沒有固定排列可以推算出口,只有靠耐心一條條路試,然後作上記號,豆豆沿著童博作過的記號走進石柱群,一路看到不少死的蛇,蜥蜴,蝙蝠等,看來童博是一面打鬥一面前進的,豆豆一直來到沒有記號的岔路口,就停下了腳步,沒有冒進
Doug: (thinks) You don’t know me and ignore me, that’s fine! I just tag along you! I must see what you killed so many people for!!
豆:(心想)你不認識我,不想理我沒關係,我賴上你了,我一定要看看你殺了這麼多人,想要的是什麼!!
So, Doug stops at every unmarked fork in the road and waits for Po finding the right way. Besides, she observes around and realizes that the soft light comes from two things—radiating mosses and mushrooms. She tries to snap a mushroom to be a torch but it’s strange that the snapped mushroom loses its light soon.
於是豆豆就在每一個岔路口停下,等童博找到正確的路就跟著走,順便打量了一下四周,原來微微的光是來自兩種東西,會發光的苔和菇,豆豆折了一支菇想當火把用,可奇怪的是,折下來的菇,很快就不亮了
Two hours later, they eventually come off the pillars. Po actually shows a slight smile. Doug looks at him and hopes the smile keeps. Yet, a dull thunder-like sound spreads from somewhere. Po unexpectedly lowers his head and sits against a pillar. He took out a flat bread then takes a big bite on it—he is hungry!
又過了一個時辰,她們總算走出了石柱群,童博的臉上,居然露出了一絲微笑,豆豆定定的看著他,只希望這笑容能持續,不過一陣悶雷似的聲音,卻不知從哪傳了出來,童博突然低下頭,轉身坐到一個石柱旁,拿出一個大餅,就啃了起來—他肚子餓了!
Doug somehow likes to laugh but she doesn’t because there is hazy bloodstain on the dragon sword, which is stuck into ground beside Po! She just sits on another place and nibbles a steamed bun. However, most of time, she is watching Po, that big guy without formidable atmosphere as he is eating.
豆豆有點想笑,卻笑不出來,因為童博插在身邊的神龍劍上,有隱隱的血光!豆豆只有默默的坐在另一邊,小口的咬著一個饅頭,但她大部分時候,還是在望著童博,望著那個因為專心吃東西而沒有了殺氣的高大身影
After finished his flat bread, Po stands up at once and walks straight to the end of cave. A large stone gate sets there with four beads - red, white, yellow and green one - at its four corners and a poem in seal character carved on it:
童博吃完一個大餅,立刻站起身來,一直走到石窟的盡頭,那裡有一扇大石門,四角各有紅,白,黃,青,四顆珠子,門上則用篆文刻了一首詩:
“The golden rising sun shines the perilous peak, The autumn wind breezes through the rosy maple trees, The slight haze decorates the greeny hill, The silver-white waterfall rushes in an all-trees valley”
“旭日煌煌照險峰,秋風陣陣動楓紅,薄嵐點點綴青岳,銀練激石碧谷中,”
Po: (deep voice) It should be like the way that the four beads must be hit in a right sequence as the poem mentioned. If the sequence is wrong, the result may be a complete failure...(watches poem and beads carefully) En... No doubt first two sentences means yellow and red but last two sentences both have white and green...
博:(沉聲)應是要照詩中所述顏色的排列,擊打這四顆珠子,如果順序錯誤,後果難料....(仔細看看詩句和珠子)恩....前兩句一黃一紅應無疑問,後兩句卻都有青白兩色....
Doug approaches behind him and looks at the gates as well. She, however, doesn’t even understand the seal characters so she can just turn to watch Po’s expression. Soon, Po suddenly raises his head and jumps up. He sends four smooth slashes with his dragon sword to hit the beads in the sequence of yellow-red-green-white. Then, with a round of rumble, the gate opens!
豆豆此時也來到他身後看著石門,她連篆字都看不懂,只好看著童博的臉色,不久童博突然抬頭一躍而起,神龍劍如如出水蛟龍般揮出,照著黃紅青白的順序,在四顆珠子上各打了一下,只聽得一陣隆隆聲響,石門打了開來
Po walks into the gate silently. Doug goes after him while scratches her head. The route follows the gate seems mentioned in the map so Po travels undoubtedly. Soon, they reach a bank in front of a huge and deep graben. Between the two banks, there are irregularly arranged 64 pillars. They can be roughly separated into 8 rows and there are 8 pillars in every row. In addition, every pillar has a sign of Fu-hsi’s 64 symbols (formed with two vertically arranged symbols from 8 diagrams) on it. The distance between these pillars becomes wider as ones stand closer to the opposite bank while the span from the last row to the bank is the limit which regular moving skill can reach.
童博一言不發的走進石門,豆豆搔搔頭,也跟了進去,進去後的路,似乎圖上有指示,童博走的毫不遲疑,很快就來到了一個大地塹前,在兩岸之間,有不規則排列的六十四根柱子,大致分成八排,每排八根,每根柱子上都有一個伏羲六十四卦的符號(由上下兩個八卦符號組成)這些柱子越靠對岸,互相之間距離越大,到得最後一排,其距離已是一般武林人士輕功的極限
Po: (talks to himself) The arrangement of pillars is certainly not similar to any pillar formation I remember nor to the symbol converting noted in the Book of Changes...(looks at pillars) the map says “either live or hell; no chance to restart the deal” so every pillar can be stepped on for only once and one will fall into the bottomless graben if steps on the wrong pillar...The graben is so deep that I couldn’t return with Long-shen-gong. Therefore, I have to figure out the safe route from the arrangement of the first two rows of pillars which my box energy can reach.
博:(自語)這柱子的排列,竟不似任何我記得的樁法,也不合易經上的生剋....(注視柱子)圖上說,非生即死,回頭無岸,看來這每根柱子只能踩一次,如果踩錯即落入地塹深淵...以此淵之深,用龍神功也必上不來,我必須在掌力所能及的前兩排石柱的排列中,看出端倪才行
Doug scratches her head for countless times behind him. She can guess that they are able to cross the graben only by stepping on the pillars and there must be some pillars are not steppable. But, how to distinguish them from others is totally beyond her mind. So, she cannot but stands near Po and intends to follow him.
豆豆在他身後早不知搔了幾次頭,她猜的出一定是要靠石柱過去,也一定有些石柱不能踩,可是如何辨別,她自是毫無良策,只好靠童博近一點,打算跟著他走就是
Po takes a deep breath then sends out 16 boxes swiftly. The 16 pillars closest to him are all shook by his box energy then 8 of them topple down astoundingly. Po looks around the pillars left, thinks with his eyes closed for a while then opens his eyes with profound eye expression.
童博吸了口氣,迅疾地連擊出十六掌,最接近他的十六根柱子受到掌力都搖撼了一下,然後其中八根聲勢驚人地倒了下去,童博掃視了留下的柱子,閉眼思索一會,然後帶著深遂的眼神睜開了眼
Po: (smiles coldly) As it turns out, the arrangement of pillars is unrelated to designed formation like “Plum blossom pillars” nor to the calculation of 64 symbols’ converting but to the sum of Yin-yao (divided lines) and Yang-yao (single lines). Yin-yao means the even and Yang-yao means the odd. Even plus odd is odd, odd plus odd is even and even plus even is even...The odd means death while the even means live!
博:(冷笑)原來這落腳處的排列,既跟梅花樁之類陣法無關,也跟六十四卦生剋無關,只跟陰爻陽爻的相加之和有關,陰爻為偶,陽爻為奇,奇偶為奇,奇奇為偶,偶偶為偶...奇為死路,偶為生路!
Although Doug can’t comprehend what Po said, she knows he get the point. So, she drags a little part of Po’s clothes, Po emotionlessly squints her, though.
豆豆雖然聽不懂童博的話,也知道他已想出來了,就伸手拉住他一截衣角,童博卻冷冷的瞄了她一眼
Po: Don’t pull me! You’ll hinder my movement. Listen! The closest two rows of pillars are pressed by my box energy so you cannot but touch them briefly then leave at once. Or, you will fall down with them. If you have no confidence in moving skill, go find another way out!
博:你別拉著我,會妨礙我行動,告訴你,前兩排柱子已被我掌力壓過,只能一點即離,不然你就會跟著掉下去,你要沒把握,就另尋出路吧!
Doug: (released his clothes) Where else could I go? The only way is following you. You just go! I won’t blame you if I can’t emulate you!
豆:(放開了童博衣服)這哪還有別的出路?我只有跟著你,你走你的吧,我跟不上是我的事!
Po doesn’t heed her more and just observes the pillars once more then jumps out with all his energy. Doug does all she can to keep in step with him. Just as expected, the left pillars in first two rows also topple down after stepped by them. As they reach the last row of pillars, Doug is just unable to keep up with Po anymore. Thus, the last pillar is stepped by Po first and Doug has to jump over the farthest length with just one brief touch on last pillar. She does follow without falter. She slightly steps on the last pillar then leaps forward with all her strength. However, by a bit of distance, Doug still cannot reach the opposite bank. When she drops, she finds Po hasn’t left yet and stands by the bank. So, she flings out the steel string immediately and tangles it to Po’s body!
童博不再理她,又打量了石柱一會,就提氣縱躍了出去,豆豆打起十二分精神緊緊跟著,果然前兩排留存的石柱,在他們踩過之後,也倒了下去,到了第八排石柱,豆豆用盡全力也跟不上童博,於是最後一根石柱變成是童博先踩了,豆豆則必須在只借力一瞬的情況下越過最遠的距離,豆豆毫不遲疑的還是跟上,在最後一根石柱上點了一下,奮力向前躍去,可仍是差了一點沒能到對岸,豆豆在掉下去時看見童博居然沒有馬上離開,還站在岸邊,她便立刻甩出軟鋼絲,纏在了童博身上!
Doug: (thinks) No matter you stay for worrying me or not. As long as you wait, I’ll follow you!!
豆:(心想)不管你是不是因為擔心我而留下,只要你沒走,我就要跟著你!!
Doug pulls the string and soars onto the opposite bank. She, though, cannot check her movement and hits into Po, who is used as a pole! Doug raises her head yet sees Po’s still icy eyes.
豆豆一拉鋼絲,借力躍上了對岸,可是收不住勢子,一頭撞進被她當成柱子的童博懷裏,她抬起頭來,遇到的卻仍是冷漠的眼神
Po: (deep voice) Unwind the string!
博:(沉聲)把鋼絲解開!
Doug: (lowers her head and unwinds the steel string) I’m sorry....
豆:(低頭解開了鋼絲)對不起....
Po turns to walk away but feels a little perplexed.
童博轉身就走,心裏卻是有點迷惘
Po: (thinks) Why didn’t I leave on the moment? Why did I maintain my posture with qi-gong to support her up instead? I don’t know her. I shall not know her....
博:(心想)我為什麼不馬上離開?為什麼反而運氣撐住她,讓她借力上來?我不認識她,我應該不認識她的啊.....
After the graben, there is a narrow winding passageway. Po is squeezing ahead while dealing with haunting noxious bugs and snakes. He is bitten twice yet still moving after forcing the poison out with qi-gong. Doug follows him quietly and only sees the sight of Po’s back in most of time. Her feeling is mixed.
過了地塹之後,是一條曲折的通道,頗為狹窄,童博一面向前擠著,一面還要應付不時出沒的毒蛇毒蟲,有兩次被咬到,童博只是運功把毒逼出,就繼續往前走,豆豆默默跟著他,大部分時候只看到他的背影,心中百感交集
Doug: (thinks) Seeing him getting injured hurts me so! Why is he so desperate? (Sigh) I’d rather wander in this gloomy cave with him forever than see his killing again!
豆:(心想)看到他受傷,我心裏好難過,他為什麼要這麼拼命?唉,其實只要他不再殺人,我寧願一輩子跟他困在這不見天日的地洞裏!
Fortunately, the passageway becomes wider. After going around a corner, there is a living room-sized space and a passageway is located on the other side of it. However, they cannot reach the passageway directly because the space is full of spider web. And, a spider, which is, with its legs, as big as a bag of rice and with bloody-red pattern on its back, inhabits middle of the web!!
好在通道後來寬了一點,再轉了一個彎之後,眼前是一個偏廳大小的石穴,穴的另一頭有通道,可是他們卻不能直接過去,因為石窟中,結滿了蛛絲,而一隻連足帶身有米袋大小,背上有鮮紅花紋的蜘蛛,正盤據在蛛網中間!!
Po: (deep voice) This spider web must be extremely poisonous so even those poisonous bugs and snakes are killed by it. If letting the web touches the skin, one may die instantly. No matter I use the sword to poke it or rash through it with Long-shen-gong, it’s hardly possible to avoid touching the web thread...
博:(沉聲)這蛛網必有劇毒,連那些毒蛇毒蟲也不免成為犧牲,若讓此蛛絲沾到皮膚,只怕立時毒發無救,不論用劍去攪或用龍神功硬闖,都有可能讓蛛絲沾身.....
Doug: We can burn it!
豆:可以用火去燒!
Po: (coldly) No way! According to the ancient document, some poisonous spider webs will emit hazard smoke as being heated. I can’t risk that! (Holds his chest and thinks with his eyes closed)
博:(冷然)不行,據古籍所載,有些毒蛛的網遇熱會發出毒煙,我不能冒這個險!(又閉目抱胸沉思)
Doug: (takes a few steps to approach Po’s back and thinks) He hasn’t guarded against me. If I strike him with all my strength right now, we might fall into the poisonous web together. I can die with him and exterminate a murderer for Wu-lin by that!
豆:(向他背後走了幾步,心想)他沒有防著我,如果我此時全力向前猛撞,

Soon, Po suddenly raises his head and jumps up. He sends four smooth slashes with his dragon sword to hit the beads in the sequence of yellow-red-green-white. Then, with a round of rumble, the gate opens!
豆豆此時也來到他身後看著石門,她連篆字都看不懂,只好看著童博的臉色,不久童博突然抬頭一躍而起,神龍劍如如出水蛟龍般揮出,照著黃紅青白的順序,在四顆珠子上各打了一下,只聽得一陣隆隆聲響,石門打了開來
Po walks into the gate silently. Doug goes after him while scratches her head. The route follows the gate seems mentioned in the map so Po travels undoubtedly. Soon, they reach a bank in front of a huge and deep graben. Between the two banks, there are irregularly arranged 64 pillars. They can be roughly separated into 8 rows and there are 8 pillars in every row. In addition, every pillar has a sign of Fu-hsi’s 64 symbols (formed with two vertically arranged symbols from 8 diagrams) on it. The distance between these pillars becomes wider as ones stand closer to the opposite bank while the span from the last row to the bank is the limit which regular moving skill can reach.
童博一言不發的走進石門,豆豆搔搔頭,也跟了進去,進去後的路,似乎圖上有指示,童博走的毫不遲疑,很快就來到了一個大地塹前,在兩岸之間,有不規則排列的六十四根柱子,大致分成八排,每排八根,每根柱子上都有一個伏羲六十四卦的符號(由上下兩個八卦符號組成)這些柱子越靠對岸,互相之間距離越大,到得最後一排,其距離已是一般武林人士輕功的極限
Po: (talks to himself) The arrangement of pillars is certainly not similar to any pillar formation I remember nor to the symbol converting noted in the Book of Changes...(looks at pillars) the map says “either live or hell; no chance to restart the deal” so every pillar can be stepped on for only once and one will fall into the bottomless graben if steps on the wrong pillar...The graben is so deep that I couldn’t return with Long-shen-gong. Therefore, I have to figure out the safe route from the arrangement of the first two rows of pillars which my box energy can reach.
博:(自語)這柱子的排列,竟不似任何我記得的樁法,也不合易經上的生剋....(注視柱子)圖上說,非生即死,回頭無岸,看來這每根柱子只能踩一次,如果踩錯即落入地塹深淵...以此淵之深,用龍神功也必上不來,我必須在掌力所能及的前兩排石柱的排列中,看出端倪才行
Doug scratches her head for countless times behind him. She can guess that they are able to cross the graben only by stepping on the pillars and there must be some pillars are not steppable. But, how to distinguish them from others is totally beyond her mind. So, she cannot but stands near Po and intends to follow him.
豆豆在他身後早不知搔了幾次頭,她猜的出一定是要靠石柱過去,也一定有些石柱不能踩,可是如何辨別,她自是毫無良策,只好靠童博近一點,打算跟著他走就是
Po takes a deep breath then sends out 16 boxes swiftly. The 16 pillars closest to him are all shook by his box energy then 8 of them topple down astoundingly. Po looks around the pillars left, thinks with his eyes closed for a while then opens his eyes with profound eye expression.
童博吸了口氣,迅疾地連擊出十六掌,最接近他的十六根柱子受到掌力都搖撼了一下,然後其中八根聲勢驚人地倒了下去,童博掃視了留下的柱子,閉眼思索一會,然後帶著深遂的眼神睜開了眼
Po: (smiles coldly) As it turns out, the arrangement of pillars is unrelated to designed formation like “Plum blossom pillars” nor to the calculation of 64 symbols’ converting but to the sum of Yin-yao (divided lines) and Yang-yao (single lines). Yin-yao means the even and Yang-yao means the odd. Even plus odd is odd, odd plus odd is even and even plus even is even...The odd means death while the even means live!
博:(冷笑)原來這落腳處的排列,既跟梅花樁之類陣法無關,也跟六十四卦生剋無關,只跟陰爻陽爻的相加之和有關,陰爻為偶,陽爻為奇,奇偶為奇,奇奇為偶,偶偶為偶...奇為死路,偶為生路!
Although Doug can’t comprehend what Po said, she knows he get the point. So, she drags a little part of Po’s clothes, Po emotionlessly squints her, though.
豆豆雖然聽不懂童博的話,也知道他已想出來了,就伸手拉住他一截衣角,童博卻冷冷的瞄了她一眼
Po: Don’t pull me! You’ll hinder my movement. Listen! The closest two rows of pillars are pressed by my box energy so you cannot but touch them briefly then leave at once. Or, you will fall down with them. If you have no confidence in moving skill, go find another way out!
博:你別拉著我,會妨礙我行動,告訴你,前兩排柱子已被我掌力壓過,只能一點即離,不然你就會跟著掉下去,你要沒把握,就另尋出路吧!
Doug: (released his clothes) Where else could I go? The only way is following you. You just go! I won’t blame you if I can’t emulate you!
豆:(放開了童博衣服)這哪還有別的出路?我只有跟著你,你走你的吧,我跟不上是我的事!
Po doesn’t heed her more and just observes the pillars once more then jumps out with all his energy. Doug does all she can to keep in step with him. Just as expected, the left pillars in first two rows also topple down after stepped by them. As they reach the last row of pillars, Doug is just unable to keep up with Po anymore. Thus, the last pillar is stepped by Po first and Doug has to jump over the farthest length with just one brief touch on last pillar. She does follow without falter. She slightly steps on the last pillar then leaps forward with all her strength. However, by a bit of distance, Doug still cannot reach the opposite bank. When she drops, she finds Po hasn’t left yet and stands by the bank. So, she flings out the steel string immediately and tangles it to Po’s body!
童博不再理她,又打量了石柱一會,就提氣縱躍了出去,豆豆打起十二分精神緊緊跟著,果然前兩排留存的石柱,在他們踩過之後,也倒了下去,到了第八排石柱,豆豆用盡全力也跟不上童博,於是最後一根石柱變成是童博先踩了,豆豆則必須在只借力一瞬的情況下越過最遠的距離,豆豆毫不遲疑的還是跟上,在最後一根石柱上點了一下,奮力向前躍去,可仍是差了一點沒能到對岸,豆豆在掉下去時看見童博居然沒有馬上離開,還站在岸邊,她便立刻甩出軟鋼絲,纏在了童博身上!
Doug: (thinks) No matter you stay for worrying me or not. As long as you wait, I’ll follow you!!
豆:(心想)不管你是不是因為擔心我而留下,只要你沒走,我就要跟著你!!
Doug pulls the string and soars onto the opposite bank. She, though, cannot check her movement and hits into Po, who is used as a pole! Doug raises her head yet sees Po’s still icy eyes.
豆豆一拉鋼絲,借力躍上了對岸,可是收不住勢子,一頭撞進被她當成柱子的童博懷裏,她抬起頭來,遇到的卻仍是冷漠的眼神
Po: (deep voice) Unwind the string!
博:(沉聲)把鋼絲解開!
Doug: (lowers her head and unwinds the steel string) I’m sorry....
豆:(低頭解開了鋼絲)對不起....
Po turns to walk away but feels a little perplexed.
童博轉身就走,心裏卻是有點迷惘
Po: (thinks) Why didn’t I leave on the moment? Why did I maintain my posture with qi-gong to support her up instead? I don’t know her. I shall not know her....
博:(心想)我為什麼不馬上離開?為什麼反而運氣撐住她,讓她借力上來?我不認識她,我應該不認識她的啊.....
After the graben, there is a narrow winding passageway. Po is squeezing ahead while dealing with haunting noxious bugs and snakes. He is bitten twice yet still moving after forcing the poison out with qi-gong. Doug follows him quietly and only sees the sight of Po’s back in most of time. Her feeling is mixed.
過了地塹之後,是一條曲折的通道,頗為狹窄,童博一面向前擠著,一面還要應付不時出沒的毒蛇毒蟲,有兩次被咬到,童博只是運功把毒逼出,就繼續往前走,豆豆默默跟著他,大部分時候只看到他的背影,心中百感交集
Doug: (thinks) Seeing him getting injured hurts me so! Why is he so desperate? (Sigh) I’d rather wander in this gloomy cave with him forever than see his killing again!
豆:(心想)看到他受傷,我心裏好難過,他為什麼要這麼拼命?唉,其實只要他不再殺人,我寧願一輩子跟他困在這不見天日的地洞裏!
Fortunately, the passageway becomes wider. After going around a corner, there is a living room-sized space and a passageway is located on the other side of it. However, they cannot reach the passageway directly because the space is full of spider web. And, a spider, which is, with its legs, as big as a bag of rice and with bloody-red pattern on its back, inhabits middle of the web!!
好在通道後來寬了一點,再轉了一個彎之後,眼前是一個偏廳大小的石穴,穴的另一頭有通道,可是他們卻不能直接過去,因為石窟中,結滿了蛛絲,而一隻連足帶身有米袋大小,背上有鮮紅花紋的蜘蛛,正盤據在蛛網中間!!
Po: (deep voice) This spider web must be extremely poisonous so even those poisonous bugs and snakes are killed by it. If letting the web touches the skin, one may die instantly. No matter I use the sword to poke it or rash through it with Long-shen-gong, it’s hardly possible to avoid touching the web thread...
博:(沉聲)這蛛網必有劇毒,連那些毒蛇毒蟲也不免成為犧牲,若讓此蛛絲沾到皮膚,只怕立時毒發無救,不論用劍去攪或用龍神功硬闖,都有可能讓蛛絲沾身.....
Doug: We can burn it!
豆:可以用火去燒!
Po: (coldly) No way! According to the ancient document, some poisonous spider webs will emit hazard smoke as being heated. I can’t risk that! (Holds his chest and thinks with his eyes closed)
博:(冷然)不行,據古籍所載,有些毒蛛的網遇熱會發出毒煙,我不能冒這個險!(又閉目抱胸沉思)
Doug: (takes a few steps to approach Po’s back and thinks) He hasn’t guarded against me. If I strike him with all my strength right now, we might fall into the poisonous web together. I can die with him and exterminate a murderer for Wu-lin by that!
豆:(向他背後走了幾步,心想)他沒有防著我,如果我此時全力向前猛撞,
